Coinbase is one of the first centralized exchange in crypto. It was launched in 2012 by Brian Armstrong and Fred Ehrsam. This platform is known for its security and simplicity, which makes it one of the best places to start for beginners. Coinbase is also the very first exchange to appear on the Nasdaq, since 2021, with the symbol $COIN.

The interface is clear and very easy to use for a beginner.
Coinbase only offers the main services in crypto. We cannot say that this is its strength, but it tends to improve, especially with the automatic staking feature.
You will find about fifty cryptocurrencies, which is less than other exchanges, but this will allow you to focus on reliable projects.
Despite some hacks, the platform seems secure, and above all, it is insured.
However, Coinbase present a lot of difficulties when there is too much traffic.
Note aswell that the fees are higher than other cryptocurrency exchanges.
