Solana is a scalable blockchain based on an innovative hybrid consensus, combining Proof of History and Proof of Stake. It aims, among other things, to deal with the flow problems present in other blockchains such as Ethereum or Bitcoin. It is currently the fastest in terms of transaction speed, being able to debit 65,000 transactions per second. In addition, the costs are very low (~ 0.00005 SOL). Solana project began in 2017 in California, near the beach of the same name where Anatoly Yakovenko, the founder, worked at length on its design.
